Snowy Days and Cozy Hustles: Building My Business from the Heart of Colorado

There’s something magical about waking up to a blanket of snow in Colorado. The mountains dressed in white, the streets muffled in a soft, quiet hush. It’s like nature gives us an excuse to slow down a bit—but if you’re anything like me, snow days just mean a different kind of hustle!

Today, I’m cozying up in my home workspace, coffee in hand and a window full of snowfall beside me. While it might sound like a scene from a movie, it’s actually the setting for what I call my “snow day grind.” Owning Holistic Tech Witch & Apothecary here in Colorado Springs means that even on days like this, I’m working hard behind the scenes, building my website, promoting my products, and finding ways to bring a bit of warmth and magic to my community.

It’s easy to get distracted when the snow is calling for a Netflix binge or a hot cocoa break, but honestly, these quieter days remind me how much I love what I do. Today, for example, I’m working on promoting our newest facial steamers! (If you haven’t tried a facial steamer on a cold winter day, you’re in for a treat—it’s like giving your face a cozy, spa-like embrace!) I’ve been sharing them on Facebook and TikTok, and I can’t wait to see how people feel about bringing that extra warmth and glow into their homes, just like I’m doing here.

Of course, staying focused isn’t always easy. Running a small business means juggling about a dozen tasks at once—writing product descriptions, managing inventory, chatting with potential customers, and even a bit of tech troubleshooting here and there. But what keeps me grounded, especially on these snowy days, is knowing that I’m building something that brings joy and a touch of magic to people. I’m creating a space (both online and in my store) where others can find items that help them feel centered, cared for, and inspired.

So if you’re reading this, bundled up at home or scrolling on your phone during your own snow day, just know I’m right there with you, making the most of the quiet moments, feeling both cozy and inspired. Thank you for being part of this journey with me!

Stay warm, stay cozy, and remember: even on snowy days, there’s magic to be made!
